What’s Your ONE THING? The Sequel
I received so much positive feedback about the content in last week’s blog, that I’ve written a sequel. Star Wars has nothing on me.
To refresh your memory about the book THE ONE THING, there is no surefire thing, but there’s always something, ONE THING, that out of everything, matters more than anything. At any moment in time there can only be ONE THING, and when that ONE THING is in line with your purpose and sits atop your priorities, it will be the most productive thing you can do to launch you toward the best you can be.
Last week I posed the ONE THING question as it relates to how you show up as a leader, but it doesn’t have to end there. The authors point out that you can apply this question to many areas of your life. For example: What’s the ONE THING I can do this week for my physical health to ensure I exercise? What’s the ONE THING I can do this week for my personal life to ensure I find time for myself? In addition to your physical health and personal life, you can also apply this question to your finances, spiritual life, key relationships, job, and business.
The Truth? Now this is Jill talking… Leaders – real leaders – live in balance. Your life is not just about work, or exercise, or money. Your life is about all of the areas listed above. And to the extent that you can achieve balance in each of these areas, you will be balanced overall, which equates to a stronger leader.
What area do you have the most trouble balancing? I’d love to hear from you and help brainstorm a solution. To your success…
